Improvements are Updated
The update v20.0.015 has just released for Nokia N95. All N95 users has noticed the RAM improvement. With new Firmware, the maximum RAM size increased to 30.8 MB

I have a plum n95, unlocked, in america but my software updater still says that 12.0.013 is the newest firmware available. any ideas of how i can upgrade to v20 without screwing up the phone?
You have to wait until the upgrade is available for your specific phone - each batch has a different code (based on which network/distributor originally sold it). They have only released 20.0.015 for two batches. The rest should follow within a few weeks. If you still can’t update by February/March, complain to whoever you bought the phone from (and/or your network).
The Nokia’s update site says:
“Please note that your mobile service provider, operator or carrier may not have approved this latest Nokia device firmware. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have updated Nokia device firmware. It is our priority to update all variants as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any delay. Please note that not all operators endorse the latest software versions available. agggghhhh no i can’t update the nokia n95 still says version 12 is the latest software nooooooooo, oh well just have to wait and i will though it looks like a very good software and plus my friend upgraded his anf then after that it was faster and could load more apps then b4 so realy i conclude A MUST UPGRADE FOR ALL NOKIA N95s !!!! lol

Your network operator locks the latest version of firmware you can install, quite often this is one or two version behind the current
You need to de-brand your phone by changing the product code away from an operator specific code then use the NSU to get the latest version

I updated to 20.0.015 and have some issues… sliding the front down to reveal the multimedia keys doesn’t open the gallery any more, just puts screen into landscape mode and flash player appears to play files at about 75% speed. Any one have any iseas? Nokia said my phone must be faulty and to take it to a service centre… don’t think so…
i checked my batch code says latest version is v 20 but my software updater said the latest is v 12. I though there a bug so i deleted nokia software updater and reinstalled it and now it doesn’t even work lol (shouldnt be laughing) any ideas guys?
I’ve checked up on the whole media section not opening up to the slide menu. It’s changed, and dont think you can put it back. If you think about it its actually better. To access it you just need to do the small extra thing of pushing that menu button.

I have upgraded and found battery life much better, Multi media slide is as said above although this doesn’t bother me but the head phones controller (little dongle that attaches to your clothes to answer the phone when listening to music)no longer works. I can still listen to music but i cant change tracks pause or adjust volume. Any ideas?

i cannot updated my nokia N-95 version v20.0.015 from V11.0.026 I have downloaded the setup for nokia software updater but it doesnot runs.
I cannot install software updater for my nokia N95 can any one help. I cannot even find software updater in my pc when ever I click on update software link in pcsuite it opens a web link.
You can not use the headset control maybe because of only two possible reason. The Headset control is locked or it is defective already as what i have experienced on mine and have it replaced from Nokia Service Center.

Doesn’t look like they released it for my batch yet, but I’m really excited.
My poor N95 has been crying for some upgrades.
Especially on the battery life issue.

umm. i need some help i downloaded a new version to my n95.
and now i cant restore memory to the phone. anyone knos how to make it work?
guys for upgrading, try using the nemesis software to change product then try and upgrade. this much simpler and i have also been able to recive the latest upgrades, months before it gets released for the UK market.
Further more, my head does nt work as stated before. the headset was working fine before i did the upgrade so i know its nt the headsets. any ideas any1?

There is a battery in side your remote have to replace the battery tri leaving it in a long time I did not try that I just replace the battery watch battery
After the file has been uploaded 109.60 MB modernization emerged letter waited 15 minutes until the setup … Then emerged message “Failed to update _ want to retry Click Yes and show the same message,” I do not know the reason for this? … Awaiting your response

I uploaded my Nokia N95 with software version V20.0.015. After the update, in the music player, there is no option “Refresh Music Library”. Hence I am not able to add any songs that I have in my memory Card. Also, the phone does not anymore plays the .wma files. Can anyone help me solve the issue.

Did you have rotateme installed and are you having problems with that application now? Mine isnt working. At all. Neither is Nokias Conversation application.
