Any idea when update for E70 will be available
which improvements are? Tanks
E70 update is available for the Finn product code.
VOIP support seems to be more robust, however, control of the connections has been left out. To get the features back, install the gizmoproject (written by Nokia) application for the N80. It works fine on my E60 and seems to allow connections to Gizmo project and other sip providers.
The changelog for the e61 is below. I would expect the e60 to be similar or the same.

According to the changelog, v3 firmware supports nokia’s “voip 2.0″. This should support STUN, etc, but can’t be configured from the UI. I have seen information about how to configure a phone emulating a configuration server with apache, but haven’t done it myself.

im waiting for an e61/e62 update.
The e61 has had this update since December. I don’t know about the e62 though.
My NSU still says that the latest is v2
When will the Firmware for E61 be released?? Is Nokia doing anything to fix the low volume issue??
Well … i hope the echo after non-Nokia bluetooth carkit connections is gone ! The biggest problem on Nokia’s Symbian 3rd phones.
So update for E70 is available in V3 hmm now i have to work on changing my device code
where to download? con you post a link?
Download Link Is there http://www.nokia.com/A4176089
So far, v3 has been stable. The web browser, when using wifi, seems a bit faster. I also noticed that I can run eqo and the web browser at the same time without one disappearing like it did with v2. That may be due to the rumored better memory management.
Had to change the product code for my phone to be able to download as its not available for all models. Everything seems the same. I was hoping for improved VOIP but its still very poor. Extremely generic error messages “can’t connect”. How hard could it be to implement meaningful error codes!!
Echo problem after connection to non-Nokia bluetooth devices still not solved. Allthough this is the biggest problem .. see Nokia Support Discussion forum.
Shame shame shame …
@TJ: how do you change the product code to be able to download the update?
There’s a piece of software that does it. “Nemesis something something” I think. I’m sure it has been talked about over on nokiafree.org forums.
TJ: BTW, the way you configure SIP connections has changed for v3. Your best bet is to delete your sip configs and try again. Also get a gizmo account and the n80 gizmo software for a reference point.
I used JAF flasher to flash the phone to “EURO1 SILVER-0519047″ and changed the product code. After that Nokia Service update found the phone and an update for it. I did try redoing sip settings to no avail. I’ll give it a few days rest before I try again.
BTW: JAF flasher is a service box you have to purchase. I just happen to be friends with someone that fixes mobile phones :0)
Today I noticed that only pushing the record button isn’t enough anymore to record a sound. You now will have to confirm by pushing ok.
Also I am getting less faults when downloading my e-mails. With version 2.xx it needed a second try to download more then once a day, and now I don’t.
I have noticed a lot more crashing with the web browser.
Can anyone post more screen shots?? The battery level indicator I see in the screenshot is present in the bottom left of the screen….. is that true??

still nothing. i live in eastern europe and this firmware is not yet available…
Is this firmware support chinese font after updated to phone ?
I have update to this version 3 and now no more blackberry service which is a reason I bought this phone in the first place to replace the rather bulky blackberry I was using.
