its not a problem with the firmware. its a problem with the lcd screen and it needs replacement. i have mine replaced for free since its under warranty.

Hello, since my firmware upgrade I have had a similar problem to you but not quite as bad. Now and again it will go to the white screen with the NOKIA logo as though it is just starting up then from there it will either go to the getting started wizard or it will go to the clock and then its normal working mode ready to use again this gets very annoying as sometimes I will have to wait a minute or so to use the phone.

the problem i faced was if the number was stored with isd code and if the number comes without the isd code, the name wont be displayed. i live in bahrain and here, the numbers are shown without isd code, so i have to remove the isd code frm the number if the name has to be seen

I just updated my firmware, and everything is fine apart from the main screen just has ‘messaging’ and ‘contacts’ nothing else

Yoson your pathetic,sony ericsson hasnt got half the applications that nokia has .Nokia is more innovated and dont get me started on the sms ,it take 24 hours to write an sms with sony ericksson.Lets talk about the menu system.What has sony ericksson got to offer THERE THE F—— SAME there is no difference in any of the models .The only thing i have good to say about Sony ericsson is the mp3 player sounds fantastic, Thats it .Lest we forget the crappy charging port on the bottom of the phone ,nokia has a 2.5mm jack ,sony has jack shit .

You’ve got to be kidding? Sony Ericsson is the best?
I’ve had good SE phones.. but the latest, so called smartphones, coming from Sony Ericsson has to be the worst kinda junk ever to come out of my home country (sweden).

Whilst my E61i and N95 runs circles around the bastards..

The last good, actually working when released, smartphone from SE was the P900 (not P910 or above they sucked big time before several updates of firmware)…

Shows a screen error when slider closed / keypad locked message displayed this is potentially a theme error try a different theme.

The blinking media light on side is a new one though!
