Hi....I did install Fring on my Nokia N95 8GB. This is an amazing covergence where one can call all the contacts from different messenger services. I tried to send SMS, Voice Chat using google and Skype and also VoIP using skype out, it worked very fine and there was clarity better than the PC. I really thank the Fring and Symbion teams for putting such a nice technique free for the public.

We did some testing for right mobile solution to use Skype for our needs and decided to use Mobivox - and as a separate solution to use Jajah.
You can read about the whole process in my blog at: http://4startups.blogspot.com/2007/09/saving-money-with-voip-various.html

Call terminated is the only mesasage I get.
The fring test call works - all other connections don't.
My mobile phone is a Nokia E65.

Any suggestions?

I got it for E61. So far no problems using MSN, Skype, and GTalk.

Skype calls could be a little louder though.

The only issue I had was getting the link to my US cell number. After trying a few times over a period of week, I finally put my Finnish SIM card in and got the text message link to that number.

I'm not sure if it's possible to remove people from the contact list.

I also don't know if it's possible to turn off message sounds.

I installed it successfully, but the problem is that, everytime I login it begins downloading all the lines from my chat windows which I had on my PC (it consumes so much time)

Hi!

I have had same problems as meantioned above. The Fring application has not been working and has totally messed up my phone.
After downloading 2.74 it started to work and seams like a nice application. When I am used to run SIP on my E61 the voice quality is not the best in the world but you can still manage to hear what the other one is saying.

If you are not to afraid of messing up your phone it is absolute worth a try.

Hi Guys,

My name is Roy, and I am on the fring team.

We noticed that some of you are having issues with the fring preview version for E61. I am truly sorry for this! As kind of a first step, I suggest trying to download and install the new fring version for Symbian 9 version 2.73. If issues do persist, please touch-base with Omri from our support and we will do our best to address each issue as soon as we can.

Also any input, feedback, insight about the fring and it's features will be highly appreciated, and hopefully help us improve the fring products

Thanks again,

Roy (roy@fring.com)
